The Block activity allows a target to actively interpose their armor and implements to take the damage meant for themselves. A Block can be done physically with armor, weapons, a shield, or an improvised item, etc. by drawing on any Resilience the item has, or simply sacrificing it completely to avoid the damage.
If the character performing the action has no proficiency with the item, they do so with Disadvantage – but only a simple result is needed to enact the effeThe latter requires some training to do so. Unless noted, it still transfers force, effects movement, etc.. A Block is a Counteraction segment, affecting no other Action types.
