The Horn of The Golden Platoon (also known generically as “The Horn of Morale”) were Lightbringer items made in Umbak in its earliest days. It was know to give heart to those who’s courage had failed, and even heal allies nearby. It was dedicated to the pantheon, and so Followers of Whelm can also use it. The secret of it’s creation was actually lost when Aerna gave birth to her son, Whelm. Perhaps some dilution of her Essence occurred in his birth for the process never functioned again. Over the millennium, most have been broken, but the rest have been gathered to Umbak and remain in Havluk, in case of war. They are a silver banded horn of yellow ivory.

Common Requirements: Attunement; It only works for those following a Good code of conduct. Must be a knight, squire, or page of Umbak.
Item Purpose: To safeguard Umbak and its armies against fear and failure.
The possessor always saves with Advantage vs. any fear – while they are conscious, they always hear the far-off faint note of the horn. While Attuned, the possessor is deaf if more than 5m from it.
1/Long Rest: Commanders Strike when blown as an attack Action. Additionally, all allies within 50m get a new save if they are subjected to fear or the Frightened Condition.
Can be blown as a Bonus Action with Second Wind: All allies within 50m Heals 3 damage if they are under half Health.
The horn was taken by Arafel when she cam out of retirement to do battle with a lich. She was transported south in a magical teleport mishap. The item was left underground in the fallen capital of the fallen southern empire of Synedcia as she and Raj Urul – last of the line – made their way back to the surface. It is surmised to be in the possession of some demonic entity (Z’rgoan?) which was bound to the place.
