Osmail Mark (lowland Barony of Bar-Innis)
Osmail Mark is the home of a small baronial territory that encompasses a town, a couple hamlets and a few settlements as part of the
Lowland Territories of the
Earldom of Bar-Innis. It is part of the Part of the ‘Lowland League’ (of the
lowlands of Bar-Innis) in the Grand Duchy of Dunstrand. Locally there is a small copper mine, and they raise plums, tomatoes and peppers. It borders a delta of the Nanford on the edges of the influence of Dwindor Swamp.
Population: 4,900
Rulership: Ruled by Baron Wheglin – whose symbol is the wolverine, on a field of light green with a yellow stripe and moon.
The Wheglin family was once fantastically rich and built extensively in the region. They maintain a standing military force of 40 medium infantry, half armed with crossbows. Local watches are all outfitted with crossbows and sturdy staves and daggers. Some even with padded doublets – a force of another 50 full and part time watchmen can be assembled in 24 hours. Law and Order is the mainstay of the barons reputation and popularity.
