Yappus was a problem in his neighborhoods for many years. He would often try to lure children and was chased away by the locales. He moved from one place to another through Beryl. Finally he killed an attacking parent who went after him, mistaking his love of children for pedophilia. He is simple and does not understand much of what goes on around him… but he likes to play and frolic with children. He hurt the adult bad, and was thrown into prison – where he killed a cell mate. He was sold to the War Pits – it was that, or be euthanized.

Yappus has not made any friends in the gladiatorial school – he is too simple to be an effective team player. Found out Krog is bad; he was local, then caravan guard, with grollen, Balletogue border last one standing, took what was left, got caught. Yappus heard Krog was a bad man and started to draw funny faces of him in the sand and on walls. Someone with literacy write “Me Krog, Me Suk Dik” next to one of them… Krog sees it and swears to kill Yappus.
