Kroll Spear

Steel Realms

Kroll Spears were fashioned by Dikillion Kroll, a human master smith of the east – around CY 2000 (records are unclear exactly – but the first mention of one is in CY 2001). They were originally fashioned for troll hunters in the north – the trolls were allying with the Orrish and finding their breeding nests was a high priority. At least a dozen were fashioned, and few were known to have survived the fall of the east. They were seven feet in length tipped with a burnt black blade 8 inches long. Many rumors abound about the nature of their powers – but it was held back from recorded history. Rumors abound of evil and dark pacts, cults of fire and blood, and of sacrifices needed for such magics to work. Whatever their nature – they wielded a fire which quenched the burn of a troll’s blood, and sent the undead into spasms of true pain.
