Gwinnish Military

At one time, Gwinn had a complex set of ranks, orders, medals and titles – mostly inherited from the Sea King Empire. Now, the military uses a much more simple structure. There are several elite units that still use older, more stratified ranks. Most of Gwinnish forces are organized into “Schools” (a reference to fish) – about Battalion size. They are highly mobile, and have squads but nothing like a platoon. There are few regular officers – Gwinnish soldiers are taught from an early age. They are tough, smart, and very capable – they rotate command of smaller groups so everyone has experience.
