There is a small canyon that floods or washes out when it rains. At the top of the path is a grate, stone melded into place. The Green Church and druidic signs of blood, faith, and truth above it. It is known that people disappear when seeking refuge here, and that many have been found dead in it – seemingly drowned from flash floods.
It was at this site, now called Witches Gash, that Calai Burren, head of the house, chased and caught several fell creatures that were prowling the countryside – including a witch! Each one he chased into the caves, and collapsed rubble, killing them and sealing their remains into rooms. He built the family catacombs in the same spot and posted a guard, creating a “sacred pact” with the folk of the area that his family would always lie in rest here and he would always watch over the people.

Then they were forgotten about, as they should have been.
