The area known as Edge-Space is an area in west of the galactic Milky Way core where hyperspace and space-time are warped. It is considered far too dangerous to travel through, consisting of a few red dwarf stars and the remnants of their systems. There are at least three active system with life-supporting suns and goldilocks zones with planets. Probes, ships, and all manner of long range sensors are foiled or return false and/or changing results. It is unknown what has caused this, and all manner of strange signals emanate from. It is thought the lost origins of humanity in the Milky Way galaxy stem from this area.
