Feywild Wander’s Blade(s)

These blades were made on a whim by the Winter Queen for several ‘centuries’ and given to those she could recruit of the human and half-elven blood to do her bidding in the Feywild territories. Feywild Confluences would happen, the infamous Dew Gates, and a call would go out to those wishing to explore the lands they provided access to. The secret of the Dew Gates was forgotten when her servitor who made them died, though several of the massive silver and blue magical eggs that created them were hoarded by her for future uses.

Bonded Compact: The sword will not lend itself willingly to attack or harm in any way through the actions of it or its wielder, the following: The Winter Queen of Faeries.

D20 Sword Features

Universal [Ongoing] Properties:
  • Standard +1: Attack, Damage, Initiative
  • Dreamwyld Anchor: [Normal anchor properties.] + Always a sword, usually a slim/long sword and never 2 handed. The blade appears as a normal blade in the presence of the Feywild, or in the border-fey or Aelfpaths. Outside these areas, the blade appears as a flashing, scintillating weapon (flashes of random colored light that illuminates 15 with dim light) – the entire weapon, not just the blade – instead of the Life Light control it normally has.
Minor Powers
  • The blade requires Minor Attunement; it takes 1 [free] Essence.
  • Faerie Bane: Wielder is immune to: Sprite poison; levitate, charm person, and faerie fire from Faerie sources.
  • Life Light: The wielder can control the blade’s green-white light from 1.5m to 5m radius as bright light, and the same beyond that as dim light. This requires Concentration and can be controlled as a Bonus Action.
  • Faerie Ken: When wielded by someone with Faerie ancestry, it allows them to understand the basics of spoken Feyloise no matter the accent or dialect.

Unproficient/Unattuned

If the wielder is not proficient or unattuned and attempts to wield the sword, there is a 1 in d6 chance the flade will flash light along its length, requiring a DC 10 Dexterity save or the wielder is blinded for 1 round.
