Housekeeping Hags/Catherine’s Plight

In order to release Catherine from her bondage, the Old Hag demands the PCs perform the task of getting her daughter back. A friend, a genie in a lamp, a dao, is imprisoned and she cannot free him. She needs the Genie, who is more powerful than her, to open the portal to where her daughter is.

Free the Genie

Get the lamp and return to her.
> The dao (Samorheen The Joyous) is holding a dam from breaking, taking it away will cause the deaths of 10,000 people, and ruin an entire city and river valley. Crops fail, homelessness, etc.

Entry – A Portal to Lormyr for the Genie

The old woman incants a ritual, weaving around you and speaking in a strange guttural tongue and dancing with abandon. Spittle flies and her face is a rictus of frenzy. After a few minutes, a portal appears 1m off the floor, a pulsing disc of purple light. A black smoky ring frames an increasingly sharp picture. No sound comes through it.

Cut stone, perfectly aligned and fit fills your vision. The light is uniform and moderately bright. The eye of vision seems to float a meter here and there, revealing more of the room you are about to step into. There appears to be no occupants. There are a few adornments on the walls.

DC 10 Intelligence (Religion) > The accouterments are religious in nature – incense burners, images of wealth offerings, etc.

DC 5 Dexterity or fall 1m when the character steps through. Any character failing injures themselves and loses 2m (5′) movement rate until they take a Short Rest.

GO TO Samorheen’s Service

Exit The Young Kingdoms

1-5 on a d6, the Hut will move, meaning the characters will likely be outside the hut when they return.
DC 10 Dexterity or fall when the character steps through or take d6/3 damage and lose 5′ movement until a Short Rest

She will just say it moved.
She can only open a portal so close, there are wards against her evil and chaos. She will get “as close as she can”.

Rescue Aja, the Hag’s Daughter

My daughter is being held by my enemies. If I can get her back, I will release my hold on Catherine. She has been imprisoned, guarded and “turned” – she may resist, and you may have to harm her, but as long as she’s alive, I will be happy. More of these lawful soul savers of the light continue to vex me”, She exclaims with disgust. I cannot get access to where she is now – she is in a place that is warded greater than the genie. The power of the genie is what I needed to get you close enough to effect a rescue.

My visions show me a cave mouth, and I hear the words “The Belly of zi-om-barg”.
