Cornered Assassins
A pair of Drow were long ago inserted as sleeper agents. They were tattered and torn and found after a battle by the Morones trussed and seemingly to be used as sacrifice. Like many of the “foundlings” of the monastery, they were placed in suspended animation. Hidden within them were embryos of the spider queens demon children. The drow “hosts” recently burst open and the demon hunter-assassins were let loose to go after the library defenders and destroy a tablet upon which is written an antidote to Drow spider and fungi poison – the tablets name is burned upon the chest of each (“Queen Mother Lolth’s Tongue=Fire” in Drow) under several layer of cheap clothes.
They almost made it to the library when, hidden in an alcove, the cleaning automaton inside of it as well automatically activated at its appointed time. There was a battle, and 2 monks died and others were wounded/poisoned. They were not able to make it into the library. They have cornered the creatures in the Hall of Kings
