The Kaldosian system lies beyond the great Laurentine Black Hole, cosmic north from the Rim Worlds. It had signs of intelligent life, but whoever built the structures had long since died out. It was primitive, and humanoid – and so humans colonized the world, claiming it as their own. There were fights, and wars even. But over time, the limited resource world lost its allure, and only those seeking to start again, own loand, and make a home were left.
The sun is an old sun, perhaps in another million years it will consume those nearest to it.
