History

The unneeded Third Son to the powerful ‘bulldog’ of the Council of (…). He is the least favorite son, in the Council Seat’s eyes. He is widely known as a dangerously new-minded young hot head, among dwarves. He sees himself as more of a mercenary than a soldier, to the detriment of his warrior Father and his two berzerker brothers. He can fight in melee combat with knives and wrestling, but he is not overly fond of being close to his target. Instead, he prefers to fight from a distance using ducateon crossbows. His favorite weapon, however, can be used as either a distance weapon or a devastating close-up surprise. He calls it a “Fist-Bow,” a hand-loading crossbow/bracer mounted on his forearm. This weapon has a knife off the tip to punch with, and he can fire the crossbow hidden in the bracer, either as a crossbow, or an extension of a punch. When he found out that his younger older brother was going to frame him for killing his oldest brother, and therefore become the only honorable living heir, he fled the Holt, taking his personal and basic battle gear with him, and he managed to ‘procure’ his Fist-Bow on his way out. He is done with the Holt, leaving behind all he knew. He did find a bird of prey, a Red-tailed Hawk, and managed to befriend it. Alone in an alien world, with nothing of his past except for his Fist-Bow inheritance, he has found a calling. Through a series of contacts, he has been getting contracts to kill people. He seems to be good at it, and he likes the money…

The party itself is essentially the police of the town, there is only a small militia, and they rely on the church to take care of anything other than common bar fights and thefts. The church uses the party to investigate murders and more severe crimes. The town took to calling the group ‘the voice of Gorgewoods dead’. Within the last couple months the church has decided to take that name further. They intend on the party being the Voice of the churches wrath. It is part of the fief of Earl Larner Ovorum. Festival of the bear… three days, three deaths. Up until now there has been very minor tasks, a couple murder investigations, and a leisurely life within the church. The party is bored as hell. They have been given some decent equipment, tabards of the church, and taken a vow to serve. They are being sent to the capital on an errand for their first task as ‘The Green Voices’.

BROTHER GREGUS: The contact for the group in the church. 4th out of 10 in church hierarchy.
