Items made from Dragon Forms

Osteo Draconis; Res Draconis bone items of Colossi, Dragons, and Trolls contain a tremendous amount of mystical properties related to primal sparks of Anima and the Tradition of working with them. Items for weapons, armor, and utility can be crafted by those with appropriate knowledge and technology as well as the capability to draw forth their powers. Such items are easily Imbued with power.

The magic nature of the material means that it can naturally augment mystical and alchemical applications and the item is Affixed with a Sigil of closing. Other pieces of these highly mystical creatures can be used in crafting too.

Typical Leavings: The remains of these creatures, like Primaeth, can be used in a variety of mystical fashioning’s and research, including use in Mystical Discernment and Empowered material reagents for formulaes, etc.

Who can craft such items? Ducateon’s can attempt it using sound and vibration to sculpt; otherwise it takes a unique combination. Knowledge of nature, the occult/arcane, history/lores, hidesmith, etc. Ritual Enchantments and Essence can be used to pull the Spark from it – animate it, use its memories, and enhance formulae’s for spells.

Almost any weapon form can be fashioned. When treated and crafted correctly, the bone takes a sharp edge, like steel. It weighs and has only half the Encumbrance of a steel weapon of the same size. Otherwise, treat it as the same in all other properties except where noted.

Armor made from dragon bone typically replace metal components with bone, or reinforces normally light, flexible (type 1) armor. Its not conductive, so it negates any effects relying on metal conductivity in corresponding armors.

Dragon Bone Helmet: Must have appropriate sized dragon skull or pieces

Weapons made from dragon bone are light, all take 1 less STR and/or RCT to wield, does 1 extra damage (base), and any aptitude requirements on the from it mimics is reduced by 1.

Dragon Bone Arrows: The shaft and tip are made of dragon bone. They can be lit on fire and will not be consumed! The base damage is by bow and pull. If lit with flaming substance, does another 4 damage. This substance can be relatively minor – the flight of the arrow and its magic fan the flames.
Dragon bone arrows have only a 10% chance to break when they hit a target – if not they can be re-used. They may have to be re-fletched. They are considered AP vs. dragon scale armor.

Dragon Bone Bullets: At high velocity, such projectiles are considered AP vs. all forms of armor – natural and made. They cannot be re-used.
