Wherein the dragon enacts a ritual that costs 1 Essence permanently and causes its target(s) to be noticed and perceived as a threat within the great weave of The Pattern. This winding of threads draws attention the targets do not need, often to their bewilderment and that of their attackers. It is so subtle, that the beings that are drawn to the target perceive them in some way as a threat or obstacle but do not notice the swift shift in their own perceptions. This is not something that the target will have means of circumventing – the ‘curse’ effects fall upon those whose attention they have gained. Those favorably inclined will find their attention on the target causing jealousy and perceived sleights.
A true dragon may perform this only once per true sleep cycle. They must be awake to enact it, and if they die or sleep its effects end and all involved intuit the basics of what was happening.
