The bestiary is just that – a collection of natural beasts which are normal in our contemporary time, which can be used in a variety of settings. These do not include legendary or monstrous creatures from myth, science fiction, or history. Monstrous references are more appropriate for specific settings. Almost any natural beast can be domesticated.
Beast Cunning: Animals often use surprise to gain initiative and advantage – their senses usually give them a much greater warning of characters in the area before the characters are aware. Many are predators, and have an adapted cunning when running down prey. They use reach, numbers for overwhelming, and position or tactical approach. Generally, their specific tactics are adapted for their habitat and fairly predictable – but effective.
