This rite binds the swearing character beyond simply trying to live by the tenets of their faith. It absolutely cements their dedication to the tenets, and forces them to embody them in every aspect of their lives. In return for being a beacon to others of the faith, the character gains several benefits. However, if the character Transgresses against the litany of their faith, they will suffer the immediate effects of a Proclamation of Transgression pronounced directly by their deity/faith, without the need of any rite performed by followers.
